I remember,
I remember the time we decided to go for a walk in the park. Snow was on the ground and it was frigid. We kept slipping on all the down slopes and telling stories about anything. Your laugh and smile were enough to keep me warm that day. We ended up at a fork in the road with an amazing view. You held me as we soaked in the figid day and I felt close to you. A close that would define how my love for you would form. We found a tree after turning right. I gave you my car keys and you carved our initials into this tree.
You left me. You left the memories with me. I’m standing here today with that day sourounding me and you are no longer here to keep me warm.
I’m struggling; but as they say, “This too shall pass.”
